ABOUT SHATTERPROOF
SHATTERPROOF is a true story about the life of a gifted artist and genius-comedian named Marc.
Marc and his sister, Dana, grow up in one of the few Jewish families in a small Missouri town. Marc has a talent for getting in and out of scrapes. But as a teenager, he becomes schizophrenic and takes off hitchhiking across America in an effort to outrun his mental illness and find himself.
20 years later, Dana finds him in a broken down motel in Niagara Falls. Can his sister save Marc?
SHATTERPROOF is a multi-character, one-woman tragi-comedy based on the notebooks and drawings of Marc; it incorporates monologues and rants he wrote while in the grip of mania and reveals both the brilliance and chaos of his shattering mental illness. You’ll burst out laughing while your heart is breaking while you fall in love with Marc.
